Sanya Phoenix International Airport
Guided by the core
philosophy of "Phoenix in Flight, Warmth Accompanies the
Journey," Sanya Phoenix International Airport spreads its wings
gracefully along the shores of the South China Sea. It stands as a landmark
expansion and upgrade project for the aviation hub, set against the backdrop of
the Hainan Free Trade Port's island-wide independent customs operations.
The T3 Terminal
spans a construction area of approximately 120,000 square meters. The roof steel structure draws its
design soul from the Book of Songs verse "Phoenix in Flight," with 17 phoenix-tail columns soaring
to a full height of 40
meters, joining the flowing golden roofline to recreate the
dynamic, soaring posture of a phoenix spreading its wings.
The interior ceiling system is fully clad
in high-diffuse-reflectance
aluminum honeycomb panels. Employing 3D laser scanning and
point cloud technology, the installation achieves a precision
assembly accuracy of 3 millimeters — like
silver plumage meticulously layered, perfectly fitted, revealing the exquisite
refinement of modern craftsmanship through the interplay of light and shadow.
Tropical marine elements such as ocean waves, coral, and floating islands are
woven into the decorative details, immersing travelers in Sanya's turquoise
seas, silver sands, and the open, welcoming warmth of the Free Trade Port — all while enjoying seamless, convenient passage.
As a vital aerial gateway to the Hainan Free
Trade Port, the T3 Terminal adopts a frontal pier layout with
a combined
departure and arrival flow model, enabling coordinated,
integrated operation across three levels. The facility features 40 check-in counters, 23 security screening
lanes, and 7 passenger boarding bridges.
Seamlessly connected to Terminals T1 and T2 via corridors, its efficient and
fluid passenger flow design carries the countless journeys that link the Free
Trade Port to the world.
